Headquartered in Louisville, KY, Industrial
Services of America, Inc. (ISA), was founded in
1952 as a small scrap dealer, Tri City Baling
Company. Over the years, ISA’s business interests
have included waste hauling, waste and recycling
equipment manufacturing, management of
waste and recycling services. ISA became the first
publicly traded waste industry company in 1969
and debuted on the NASDAQ in 1996 as IDSA.
Four separate divisions currently operate under ISA’s corporate umbrella—Recycling, Logistics, Waste Equipment Sales & Service Co., and Computerized
Waste Systems.
ISA Recycling, operating continuously since the
company’s inception, continues to grow with
recent additions of satellite operations in
Seymour and New Albany, IN. Currently, an
automobile shredder is under construction at
the Louisville, KY location. The addition of the
shredding operation will solidify ISA’s position
as a regional leader in the recycling and
management of waste industry.
